Ever notice how it seems like no matter how well you do, or how much you give opposition seems to come? Whether it's through finances, health, or relationships a sneaky little bit of dramatic disruption shows up and tests your entire faith walk. Let me put your mind at ease, more often than not it isn't because you're in the wrong. I can prove it. You see, scripture reminds us that we will face some bumpy roads, hills, and valleys. Psalm 34:19 tells us that many are the affliction of the righteous, BUT God delivers us out of them all. Yep,
you heard me right. Everything that you face that is a bit rough or rocky God has a plan to get you out of it. Here's the stipulation, it will only be in his timing. Flip over to James 1:2-4. God let us know that going through the process of "affliction" will definitely try our faith. When we are tried, we start to have patience built within us. And when patience has its perfect work, then we will be mature and well-developed the Message version says. We will not have any type of lack or be missing a thing. Hallelujah!! You can shout right there.
As a follower of Christ, the trials and tests are part of the inheritance. We get that too! But the spoils, the blessings, the assurance of eternal life; there is no comparison. One more verse; 2 Corinthians 4:17 reminds us that these light afflictions are nothing compared to the weight of glory that is being prepared for us because we have endured. Keep going don't lose hope. Don't quit! There is glory after this. Keep that in mind and know God is with you and for you! Act like you know.
